🌿 The Heart Behind Mr. Muddy’s Rocks

Hi there, we’re a small mom and pop run business built on a shared love of nature’s hidden treasures—especially geodes. We’re Todd and Susan, and together we make up Mr. Muddy’s Rocks.

For me, Susan, this all began as a little girl spending hours at my dad’s creek, sifting through stones and fossils, searching for Earth’s beauty and secrets. I’ve loved rocks my whole life, but when I discovered geodes at a local shop in the early 2000s, I was hooked. They’re like nature’s mystery boxes: full of anticipation, wonder, and sparkling beauty inside. That shop is long gone, but the magic stayed with me… and years later, I decided to bring that magic back by becoming a geode seller myself.

For Todd, this business is a new adventure rooted in decades of hands-on work. After 30 years in the metal finishing industry, polishing and buffing parts until they shined, he now brings that same care and craftsmanship to geodes. Cutting and polishing stones to reveal their natural brilliance is a perfect fit, and something he truly loves doing.

Together, we work hard to bring you beautiful geodes with care, curiosity, and a whole lot of heart. 💎

We've always wanted to build a small business together and finally after years of other small trial and errors, we realized geodes and agates were the milk and cookies dream team perfect fit for us. Geodes, thundereggs and agates all need a little extra attention, polishing, and love. Every rock we process has our fingerprints on it (figuratively and literally), and we hope they become small treasures in your home, colorful, joyful, and meaningful.

🏠 Our Garage, Our Family

We’re more than a small business; we’re a close-knit family. We care full-time for our two beautiful daughters, ages 28 and 24, who have developmental disabilities and bring endless love and laughter to our lives. Starting this business has given us the incredible gift of working together under one roof, doing something we all enjoy while staying connected.

It’s not always easy, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. This journey keeps us close, grounded, and grateful every single day.
